2. What data we process and why

2.1. Enquiries and quotes

If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide in order to reply.

Data

first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), the content of your message and any further details you choose to share (e.g. property address, project details)

replying to your enquiry, keeping in touch, preparing a quote

Legal basis

your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the checkbox on the form. Where the enquiry aims at concluding a contract, steps taken prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Retention

up to 1 year after the enquiry is closed, or until you withdraw consent. If a contract results, we keep the data for as long as needed to perform it; accounting records are kept for 8 years under Section 169 of Hungarian Act C of 2000 on accounting.

How does the form work? The contact form currently does not send any data to our server: the “Send message” button opens your own email program with a pre-filled email, which you then send to us. Your message is therefore also handled by your email provider, under its own privacy terms.

2.2. Operating the website (server logs)

When you open the website, your browser sends technical data to the hosting provider’s server. We do not use this data to identify visitors, build profiles or for marketing.

2.3. What we don’t do

The website uses no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking code, sets no marketing cookies and sends no newsletters. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data reaches Google Fonts when you visit. The link to our Facebook page is a plain link: you only connect to Facebook if you click it. 3. Who can access the data?

The data is handled by Home.hu Kft. staff, only to the extent necessary for the purposes above. We do not sell personal data or pass it on to third parties for marketing. We use the following processors:

Any transfer outside the European Economic Area (to the United States) takes place under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or using the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

4. Your rights

Regarding the processing of your data, you have the right to:

• access – ask what data we hold about you (Art. 15);
• rectification – have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
• erasure – have your data deleted (Art. 17);
• restriction – have processing restricted (Art. 18);
• data portability – receive the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20);
• object – object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
• withdraw consent – at any time, without giving reasons; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (Art. 7(3)).

Send your request to home.hu@olbeydesign.com or by post. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest; where justified this may be extended by two further months, in which case we will let you know.

5. Remedies

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the law, please contact us first so we can resolve the issue together. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

6. Other information

Providing data is voluntary, but we cannot reply to your enquiry without your name, email address and message. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure (encrypted HTTPS connection, access-restricted mailboxes). We update this notice when the law or the way the website works changes; the current version is always available on this page.
